What Happens If a Clinic Fails a DHA Inspection?

A failed DHA inspection results in documented findings with a corrective timeframe, and — depending on severity — administrative penalties, licence conditions, suspension of specific activities, or in serious patient-safety cases suspension of the facility licence. The determining factors are the severity of the finding, whether patients were exposed to risk, whether the issue was previously raised, and how credible the clinic's corrective action response is. The response is where clinics recover or compound the problem.
